In 1996, she took her first yoga class and knew she found the mind body connection she was searching for. In 2001 she became a registered teacher through the Yoga Alliance. She extended her studies to become certified in Restorative Yoga, Breathing and Meditation and most recently a Licensed Unnata® Aerial Yoga Instructor.

Vita’s mission is to empower others to find balance within one’s self and to discover their life force.

Lauren Race

Lauren started practicing yoga when she was 15 years old. She continued to enjoy the benefits throughout high school, college and after. She earned her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in July 2009 from Peachtree Yoga Studio. She likes to introduce people to yoga and show them how amazing it and its benefits truly are to ones mind and body. She grew up in Kansas and moved to Atlanta in 2007. She married her best friend in August 2011. They rescued a Great Pyrenees this past winter. Lauren’s 8-5 job is in the non-profit industry and in her spare time likes to travel, try new food/wine and spend time with her family.

Lisa Agostoni

Lisa Agostoni discovered yoga in 2000 as a way to increase strength, flexibility, improve her tennis game, and help manage stress.   11 years of practice later, she’s an integrative yoga teacher, who trained in Hatha yoga at Peachtree Yoga Center in Atlanta.   In addition to the formal ashtanga-inspired training she received at Peachtree, Lisa draws from all traditions of yoga as well as pranayama (breathwork) and meditation.  She incorporates body-alignment, breathing and relaxation into her Vinyasa-style classes. Lisa’s teaching style reflects a strong foundation in anatomy, kinesiology, subtle energy, yoga philosophy and – in case you don’t know her – much humor.  She is committed to offering her students a well-balanced yoga experience in a peaceful, safe, and relaxed environment.  Lisa writes a yoga & meditation blog under the name A Charmed Yogi.

Christy Newsome

Christy has been an athlete most of her life starting very young as a competitive gymnast and then a college cheerleader and diver.  She has been practicing yoga for about 10 years and is a RYT200 certified through Peachtree Yoga Center in Sandy Springs and registered through Yoga Alliance. She is a teacher at heart. She has been a computer teacher for 15 years at a private elementary school in Atlanta, teaching both children and adults and has coached gymnastics and cheerleading over the years.

Her philosophy to teaching is that yoga is a way to use your body to help train your mind into peace. She encourages students to go inside, to listen to their bodies and to honor wherever they are on any given day. The physical practice of yoga (asana) along with proper breathing technique (pranyama) can help facilitate healing, stress release and flexibility, which can lead to a longer, healthier and more satisfying life. Christy brings a kind heart and a passion for helping people become their better selves to her classes and would love to see you in class soon! She also loves reading…and coffee…and New York City…and the Braves.

Nicole Walters

Yoga has been a big passion of mine for three years.  I`ve obtained a 117 hour certificate from New
Day Yoga, Kennesaw, GA on April 2oth, 2011.
The style taught was your basic Hatha Yoga with much focus on Iyengar alignment. On May 24th, 2012, I completed a 200 hour program through Joyful Yoga in Montezuma, Costa Rica. I learned about Raja Yoga and focused on Pantanjalis 8-limbs of Yoga. I was taught Ashtanga Vinyasa flow. This teaching was centered around proper alignment and pranayama.  I am a certified 200 RYT with Yoga Alliance. The varying styles I have practiced and learned how to teach have made me a very well rounded instructor. My teaching style can range from very spiritual to very physical. My focus on proper alignment has made me
a very safe instructor. Yoga has transformed my life and I look forward to empowering this in you.

Jill Petigara

Jill is a registered member of the Yoga Alliance and has been teaching yoga since
2001. She has studied different styles of yoga with many wonderful teachers and
loves sharing what she has learned with her students.  Jill has been teaching Fertility Yoga since
2008 and just finished co-writing a book on the topic called Yoga and Fertility: A Journey to Health and Healing due out in December of 2012.   Jill did her prenatal yoga teacher training
in 2005, and completed her Unnata Aerial Yoga teacher training with Michelle Dortignac in April of 2012.  She lives in Sandy Springs with her wonderful husband, Dilip and their beautiful son, Raj.
