Class Descriptions

Yoga for Beginners – This is the perfect class for someone new to yoga. This class introduces the fundamental poses to help you learn proper alignment, breathing techniques, help you get accustomed to studio culture and most of all- have fun in a safe environment. Flexibility is NOT a prerequisite. We invite you to come try it out and bring a friend! ALL LEVELS.

Introduction to Aerial Yoga – In this 1-hour class students will spend some time in the hammock and some time on the floor to achieve a better understanding of proper alignment while increasing a peaceful mental, spiritual and physical state. LEVEL 1
Yoga experience is required to participate in in this class. 2 Introduction to Aerial Yoga classes must be taken prior to participating in Level 2/3 Aerial Yoga (moving forward into Level 2/3 is at instructor discretion & participant must be 18 years or older for all aerial classes)

Aerial Yoga – Allow Aerial Yoga to support your traditional yoga practice. Challenge traditional yoga poses such as inversions, deep back bends and allow the hammock to assist you with deep muscle release. While the body is being supported students learn how to achieve proper alignment through relaxation versus effort. (Two Introduction To Aerial Yoga classes required before participating in Aerial Yoga as a new student to the studio.) LEVEL 2/3

Good Morning Yoga – In this one hour class we will use gentle mobility and stretching to flow through asanas to heat our internal fire. We use mantras and mudras to assist in our expansion. ALL LEVELS

Deep Candlelight Stretch – Come practice by candlelight and let your week melt away. This meditative, mat-based class is designed to allow you to move inward and release tension. You are encouraged throughout class to let your breath lead your movements and you will definitely leave ready for a good night’s sleep. ALL LEVELS

Hatha Yoga – This class is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites. Hatha Yoga concentrates on uniting the physical exercises (postures or asanas) and breath control (pranyama) to energize the subtle channels so that energy can flow freely. Hatha Yoga is a powerful tool for self-transformation. It asks us to bring our attention to our breath, which helps us to still the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment. ALL LEVELS

Restorative Yoga – Soothe your soul with restorative yoga. This is a practice that tends to get overlooked in a world where “doing” is often valued far more than “being.” In this practice of active relaxation, you can leave the distractions and stresses of daily life and devote much needed time to restoring your sense of well-being. You will be guided into simple, comfortable poses on the floor supported with blankets, bolsters, straps or blocks. Poses are held for longer periods of time, with simple breathing techniques, to allow gravity to create release and opening in the body without the effort of “doing.” Add this constructive “down-time” to your practice, and amazing things may begin to happen in your body, mind, and spirit. (not suitable for pregnant women in their second or third trimester). ALL LEVELS

Acoustic Asana – This 60-minute class will help you to build flexibility and strength while encouraging your mind to settle through the artistry of beautiful acoustic music (both with and without vocals). The class begins with breath work (pranayama) to enhance the transition into a slow vinyasa flow. Moving at a slower pace than a power yoga class, this class is challenging yet accessible, approaching asanas (postures) slowly and methodically to give you time to explore alignment and energetic nuances. You will come away from this class ready for the week ahead with a renewed spirit and relaxed mind. LEVEL 2

The Vinyasa Flow class pairs breath with movement in a physical practice that encourages a transformative and balancing effect in your body. The creative sequencing found in this class will be built around surya namaskar (sun salutations) and emphasis will also be on alignment and precision in the poses, so as to build a deeper awareness in the movement. Flowing with the breath, we will glide from one pose to the next holding anywhere between one to five breaths. Pairing the poses with mindful breath will awaken the blood flow, build heat, endurance, flexibility and strength, and does wonders for quieting the mind. This is a vigorous yoga style but not overly intense. Come get your flow on. All levels are welcome but a familiarity with sun salutations is beneficial. LEVEL 2/3

Sunrise Yoga – Wake up with this invigorating early morning vinyasa flow. Class will begin with a gentle warmup on our mat, as if we were awakening from our bed. We will then step out of bed and onto our mat with a standing vinyasa; Flowing from one pose to the next with our breath as our guide. Bringing this energizing morning ritual to a close with a centering thought to hold on to throughout our day. ALL LEVELS

Happy Hour Yoga – Come to our Happy Hour! This mat class will help you wind down from the week and prepare for your weekend! This flow class will be vinyasa inspired, but is also explorative and all about YOU and your practice, so requests are not only welcome but encouraged! With a fun soundtrack and a complimentary glass of wine after class, this is a great way to decompress after Friday Atlanta traffic! ALL LEVELS

Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles that are predominant today. In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints. Energetically, Yin Yoga opens the body’s meridian system, which enhances the body’s energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium. And as this practice emphasizes stillness and silence, Yin Yoga prepares both the body and the mind for deeper experiences in meditation. Although this class is open to all levels, be aware that it is not an easy practice, due to the long holding of postures. If the tissues you are targeting are damaged in some way, please give yourself a chance to heal before resuming your practice. ALL LEVELS

Back to Basics – Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome. Appropriate for the beginner who wants to build a strong foundation of basic Yoga postures and breathing techniques, as well as for the practitioner who wants to refine and master the fundamentals. It is an invitation to stretch, relax, unwind and de-stress. ALL LEVELS
