- Aerial Yoga allow Aerial Yoga to support your traditional yoga practice. Challenge traditional yoga poses such as inversions, deep back bends and allow the hammock to assist you with deep muscle release. While the body is being supported students learn how to achieve proper alignment through relaxation versus effort. LEVELS 2/3
- Beginners Aerial Yoga are you new to yoga or have you not tried Unnata Aerial yoga yet? Aerial Yoga is a unique type of Hatha Yoga that combines the traditional yoga poses with the assistance of the hammock. Aerial Yoga is an unique hybrid of dance, gymnastics and pilates which uses a low hanging fabric hammock to support the weight of the body. Students will spend some time in the hammock and some time on the floor to achieve a better understanding of proper alignment while increasing a peaceful mental, spiritual and physical state. LEVELS 1, 2 & 3
- Hang and Restore Aerial Yoga in this 1 1/2 hour all levels class, we’ll combine traditional Vinyasa yoga, aerial yoga and restorative yoga. We’ll start by moving through a gentle flow, then transition to the hammock for a series of basic aerial poses designed to support alignment, deepen awareness in traditional poses, and provide spinal decompression. We’ll end with a generous restoration. You’ll leave feeling balanced, relaxed and decompressed. LEVELS 2
- Hatha Yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites. Hatha Yoga concentrates on uniting the physical exercises (postures or asanas) and breath control (pranyama) to energize the subtle channels so that energy can flow freely. Hatha Yoga is a powerful tool for self-transformation. It asks us to bring our attention to our breath, which helps us to still the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment. LEVELS 1, 2 & 3
- Slow Flow This is a Vinyasa Flow class, slowed down a bit. Focusing on proper alignment and positioning, with deeper attention being paid to the foundation of your yoga practice, your instructor will guide you through the basics of Vinyasa Flow. LEVEL 2.
- Restorative Yoga soothe your soul with restorative yoga. This is a practice that tends to get overlooked in a world where “doing” is often valued far more than “being.” In this practice of active relaxation, you can leave the distractions and stresses of daily life and devote much needed time to restoring your sense of well-being. You will be guided into simple, comfortable poses on the floor supported with blankets, bolsters, straps or blocks. Poses are held for longer periods of time, with simple breathing techniques, to allow gravity to create release and opening in the body without the effort of “doing.” Add this constructive “down-time” to your practice, and amazing things may begin to happen in your body, mind, and spirit. (not suitable for pregnant women in their second or third trimester). LEVELS 1, 2 & 3
- Mixed Level Vinyasa Yoga means “breath-synchronized movement”, so the postures in this all levels class are synchronized with the breath. Each posture flows into the next so students develop inner focus, balance, strength, flexibility breath awareness, and relaxation. This class accessible to everyone from beginners to experienced students, regardless of your flexibility or level of fitness. Modifications are offered for beginners and options to challenge more advanced practitioners. LEVEL 2
- Acoustic Asana this 60-minute class will help you to build flexibility and strength while encouraging your mind to settle through the artistry of beautiful acoustic music (both with and without vocals). The class begins with breath work (pranayama) to enhance the transition into a slow vinyasa flow. Moving at a slower pace than a power yoga class, this class is challenging yet accessible, approaching asanas (postures) slowly and methodically to give you time to explore alignment and energetic nuances. You will come away from this class ready for the week ahead with a renewed spirit and relaxed mind. LEVEL 2
- CandleLight Yoga the ambiance of the unique music and flowing candlelight is nothing short of spectacular. This atmosphere nurtures the balance between the mind, body, and spirit. This 60-minute class will start with a gentle warm up, allowing the day to fade away and encourage you to connect with your breath. Through the caress of the music, we will flow with the tempo from one pose to the next. Towards theend, restorative poses will be held from one to five minutes. After a delicious savasana as well as pranayama and/or guided meditation, you will find youself floating out of the studio. What better way to start the workweek. LEVEL 2
- Vinyasa Flow this new 60-minute class compliments the variety of styles already offered at Vita-Prana Yoga. Flowing with the breath, we will glide from one pose to the next holding anywhere between one to five minutes, depending on the focus of the class. Pairing the poses with breathwork raises the body temperate, awakens the bloodflow, and does wonders for the mind. This is a vigerous Yoga style but not overly intense. Come get your flow on. LEVEL 2
